GLASGOW GIG CHANGE! PUNKLIC ENEMY MERCH!! Hey there my people. Hope everyone is good, we've been highly busy back here, writing new tunes, recording a new tune, playing, sorting the label, doing three gigs in three countries in three days... but it's all good. Cheers to all those at Big Rivers and Mighty Sounds festivals. First things first, we've got some gigs coming up this weekend where there has been a change of venues. We're playing the Barfly in Glasgow this Thursday, not the Rockers venue as was previously stated, for more details check the myspace of the Wrecking Pit guys... Across the weekend we've got the Wickerman festival and a few other shows into the next week. The Worthstock festival has moved from Silsden to a show at the K2 in Keighley. So the next week or two looks like this... 22 Jul RIOS - BABYBOOM ACOUSTIC SET w/ World Inferno, LEEDS 24 Jul BARFLY, GLASGOW 25 Jul WICKERMAN FESTIVAL, DUMFRIES 26 Jul TUNNELS, ABERDEEN 27 Jul THE CANTEEN, BARROW IN FURNESS 29 Jul FIBBERS, YORK 30 Jul WELLY CLUB, HULL 31 Jul PARISH, HUDDERSFIELD 2 Aug MAKER FESTIVAL, PLYMOUTH 3 Aug K2, KEIGHLEY 5 Aug RIGGER, STOKE 6 Aug VICTORIA, INN DERBY In other news, we've got a new shirt, vest and hat design on the merch stand, a tribute to the classic Public Enemy t-shirts and caps. I don't want anyone thinking we're advocating shooting punks, it's just a tribute! You'll be the envy of your peers. Just click over to the shop HERE. ![]() Stay tuned for more news next week... the next major UK tour is going to be the Ruff and Ready tour 2008. We're stoked to announce that we have Sonic Boom Six, Chris Murray, JB Conspiracy and Chief up and down the country in October. We'll have the new site, posters and dates for that. Also, we will reveal the new Rebel Alliance Recordings website and open the pre-orders for our first non-Boom release; the fantastic 'Happy Days With...' the Babylon Whackers! Stay tuned I tell thee!!! Barney x ![]() NEW MANC AND LIVERPOOL DATES & SOUNDS TO CONSUME! Well well well!!! I hope all is well out there. Thanks so much to everyone who has caught us on the Rude Awakening so far. Even up against exams and high-profile football-matches the shows have been packed and rocking - a nice kick in the backside of the UK punk scene. Apologies to any kids in London and Leeds who were unable to get in due to the venue being sold-out or the room being full-up. It's been awesome being out with Big D and the Kid's Table and Random Hand (and let's not forget JB Conspiracy). After the remaining three shows we're doing a couple of standard headline shows and then it's back to Manchester for a while. :) The rest of the week looks like this... We're playing this coming Sunday at a show at the Ruby Lounge (right near Picadilly, opposite the Manchester Arndale market entrance). We'll be on stage at 10pm and support comes from Carjack Mallone, Daniel Orlick and the Diplomats, Afterglow + Emma Street. Check it out! HIDE AND SEEK FESTIVAL MYSPACE As many of you have pointed out, the charity show in Liverpool was under threat from the sad closure of Roadkill. Fortunately, the promoters of the event have found another venue who have kindly stepped in to provide their room for the show. So now, the gig is at Bar Fresa, Liverpool. Check it all out at the show's MYSPACE. JUNE Sunday 7th LIVERPOOL BAR FRESA - VS CANCER CHARITY ALLDAYER ![]() We've got some new shirts and men's vests up on the online shop at the mo, some nifty camo affairs with a military print logo. They've been selling well on the Rude Awakening so come over and have a ganders... OUR ONLINE SHOP Also up on the Online Shop is the long awaited return of Sounds to Consume: Champion Edition! Not only does this include the full 16 tracks of the original Moon Ska release (which incorporates our first two EPs, our original demo, remixes and an acoustic song) but this time round we have two bonus tracks (a live 'Monkey See, Monkey Do' and the infamous Bosstones mash-up by remix king Tim G), brand new artwork and a full CD remastering courtesy of punk-supremo Peter Miles!
