7/4/09 - NEW BOOM ON PUNK SHOW AND PODCASTS!

Yes indeed

City of Thieves has been selling wonderfully on the pre-order front and we're beginning to get towards the end of the initial digipak stock so if you wanted to be one of the exclusive one's you'd better get your order in pronto HERE. If the preview on the myspace wasn't enough, there are a few more tracks floating about the ether at this point in time... seek and ye shall find!Or I could just tell you... ;)

Last night on the Radio 1 Punk Show Mike Davies managed to sneak in an exclusive listen to 'Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang!' from the album. To make matters even more scrumptious, this tune features a whole darn verse from ex-King Prawn and current Asian Dub Foundation emcee Al Rumjen. The whole episode of the Punk Show is a righteous hip-hop special so it's well worth another listen. Head over to www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/mikedavies to hear the show and click LISTEN AGAIN or click HERE to go straight to the iPlayer. 'Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang!' is around 1hr 50 into the running but I recommend listening to the whole shebang for it's a fair old show. If you like the tune, as a massive personal favour to me, pop over HERE and take 20 seconds to request some more Boom! You know it makes sense.

The Version City podcast, hosted by New York City ska legend King Django with his co-host Steady Rocker went out yesterday and featured a blast of 'Through The Eyes of a Child' which features none other than King Django himself. Head over to HERE to check out the Version City Podcast! Nice bit of ska indeed.

OK, that'll be it for today. In the next few days we're gonna have big news of a small instore acoustic tour we're doing around the release of the record as well as a whole host of new merch and a new DIY vid. Until then, remember the tour dates are on the myspace and site right now so go and have a look and keep them comments coming in! I've changed around the sonicboomsix.co.uk website a lot so come and have a butchers and get involved in the forum! We'll see you HERE.

p.s. We made in onto Nick Grimshaw's yoof TV show SWITCH on the BBC the other day by hell or high water... on the hoodie of the keyboard player of cheerful young chimpmunk-headed balladeer Eoghan Quigg. Infiltrating the mainstream one step at a time us.
