21/1/10 - RBF Stage Times! London Headline Show!! Radio 1 Punk Show!!!

Hello

Whew, its been a while. So the first thing to say would be that I hope you're all having a great 2010. After a dramatic 2009 (more of which later...) we took a few weeks out at the beginning of the year but are now back on top of things. Or as on top of things as we normally are at least...

As I'm sure many of you are aware, at the moment we're currently on tour with our friends Reel Big Fish and Big D and the Kid's Table across the UK. While the shows have been great, unfortunately with us being on first there is always the problem of an early start and at a few of the shows people have complained about still being in the queue when our show is on. I'm afraid that these factors are beyond our control, the only way to make sure you get there when we're on is to get in that queue nice and early. Norwich and Manchester are the one's to watch, with doors at half past 7 and us on at quarter to 8 and the second London show, with the unholy door time of 6pm and the Boom on at quarter past 6. As long as the indie kids get their NME night afterwards, that's the main thing! Not to worry, the shows have been great and the support we've got from you lot having a dance and a fist-pump has been awesome.

The next UK Sonic Boom Six UK tour is going to be hitting Britannia in April. The London show, with special guests Mouthwash in addition to the tour support (Long Beach's reggae-rockers Knock Out) is already on sale. It’s happening at Camden Barfly and is very much expected to sell out so grab a ticket while you can from HERE. More UK dates to come!

On Monday night SB6 were featured on Under the Influence on BBC Radio 1’s Punk Show. As always, you can listen again on the RealPlayer over on their website, just go HERE to hear the rare sound of 2-Step Garage on the Punk Show as requested by yours truly! Also on the show is a session by Rebel Alliance alumni The Skints which is more than worthy of your time and which brings us nicely to the next subject. While it’s no doubt going to be a busy year for the Boom, just as busy is the activity at our record label Rebel Alliance Recordings. Laila has written a synopsis of what went on last year over on the myspace blog HERE and there is news a-plenty on the RAR front, with the first Rebel Alliance Recordings tour making its way across the UK from tomorrow onwards. Click HERE to check out those tour dates on the myspace and remember to join the mailing list to keep up to date with all the news at Rebel Alliance including new signings and videos.

That’s it for now, see you guys soon.

Barney x

p.s. How could I forget? Over on the Rebel Alliance Recordings site we’ve got a hot new Rebel Alliance t-shirt. Be the envy of all your friends and support your favourite label! Check it out HERE.
