Well, this isn’t the picture of California that I was lead to believe in the movies! It’s cold and raining and grey. But, as I’ve been assured many times over, the weather back in the UK is equally horrific. So I guess we’re square.
First things first, the current Big D and the Kid’s Table tour has unfortunately hit a few snags, poor old Big D really aren’t having much good luck at all. The show in Utah had to be cancelled due to complications on the promoters side, last night in Arcata Big D’s van broke down so they couldn’t make the show (but we managed to play a sweet headline set to replace it, thanks Norm and Killbot Factory) and unfortunately the gig at the Detroit Bar in Costa Mesa had to be cancelled due to the gig being 21 and over only. It’s been one thing after another for them, please spare a thought for the Big D boys!
It's important to note that the Los Angeles show at the El Ray Theatre has been moved to Pomona at an apparently wonderful venue called the Glass House. All details of tickets and exchange details are HERE.
Apart from the weather and the drives, we’ve been having a fun old time of it all in all, please go and check out the Blog to relive the day we visited Kurt Cobain’s house, see Laila swimming around like a drowned rat and find out the difference between Taco Bell and Taco Johns. Check it out HERE.
We’re all looking forward to the shows with Reel Big Fish and Big D all across Europe in January. All the dates are up on myspace now, come and check them out HERE. We're on all the European shows.
