HMV Next Big Thing! FREE Screen Printed Posters!! CDs Back in Stock!!!

OK then!

First of all, a massive thanks to those who came down and partied at The Barfly gig on Friday. It was an awesome show and thanks to Chris McCormack and all at Jubilee Club for having us. You Camden crew were ruffneck rowdy as always and with your help at the show we've been able to take several steps towards the possibility of getting the new album out... but, in the spirit of doing so, we need to appeal for the presence of you mentalists once again! We're stoked to announce our first show of 2012 in the form of HMV's Next Big Thing...

"HMV Next Big Thing Festival showcases the next wave of musical talent in bars and clubs across London, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Manchester. You can catch next year's festival main stagers in venues like The Barfly, Heaven, The Borderline and The Garage over nine solid days of gigs. Each show has three bands on the bill and all cost £10."

On
Thursday 9th Feb 2012 your friendly-neighbourhood Boom are headlining The Barfly for a run-down of new tracks from our forthcoming album as well as all the old favourites. As we said, we need you guys in the crowd giving it some to literally determine the future of The Boom. What with all the hoopla demand for HMV NBT tickets is high so TICKET PURCHASE ASAP IS HIGHLY ADVISED. Camden Barfly is a very intimate venue so tickets are in limited supply. What's more, support is coming from the awesome Hildamay and Wonder Villians so this is a must-attend event. Get your tickets HERE ladies and gentlemen!

Rightio! Once you've gone and grabbed a ticket for that we can carry on... thank you!

Now, to Christmas and all of that good stuff. A load of you have been asking about the whereabouts of the CD albums of Arcade Perfect and City Of Thieves. Well, have no fear Boomers because not only have we re-issued them, with BONUS TRACKS but we're also offering a sweet free gift in our store. Do your Christmas shopping with Sonic Boom Six and spend over £20 (before P&P) on any combination of items we will give you a FREE hand-numbered screen-printed poster on all orders. This super-limited run of 100 numbered posters is a one-off offer for Christmas 2011.

The artwork has been designed by long-time cohort Steve Kitchen, whose site you can check out HERE and his Facebook HERE

If you want it under the tree on Christmas day, please order before 5pm on Monday 19/12/11. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee a Christmas delivery for international orders. And of course, our store is HERE.

Over in the store we've got the 2011 version of City Of Thieves with bonus tracks HERE. We've also hit up Arcade Perfect with the bonus 2011 treatment. Along with bonus demos never heard before (including previously unheard track 'Fear And Loathing In Whalley Range') we've also re-jigged the artwork to the original cover we intended. The album has never looked or sounded better and you can check it out HERE.

Also new in the store amongst the whole host of CDs, t-shirts and hoodies is the Sonic Boom Six 2011 Singles Collection. This is your chance to get all of Sonic Boom Six's 2011 releases in one attractive multi-disc package. 2011 was a year of re-invention for 'The Boom' and across these singles you can take the journey across this pivotal year with us. Start at the dancefloor explosion of 'New Style Rocka' through to the summer festivals with 'Sunny Side of the Street' and finally to the forthcoming album's incendiary opening salvo 'For The Kids Of The Multiculture'. 2012 is set to be the year of The Boom and it was ignited by this little box of bangers. Check it out HERE.

Finally for today, on the last tour we chatted with Paul Gibbard of Kane FM after our gig at Guildford’s Boileroom. We chatted about inspirations, albums, record deal/labels, lyric writing, our future plans including the name of the new album and the direction the band is heading. It's a very chilled, informal interview and if you've got a few minutes spare it's worth checking out. You can hear it HERE. Cheers to Paul and all at Kane FM!
